Come join Outdoor Research on August 7th for the 2010 Rutland Long Trail Festival! This day-long celebration, which aims to “inspire individuals to participate in the outdoors”, will take place at the Rutland Fair Grounds in Rutland, VT.  Backpacking magazine has called Rutland “the best place to raise children as thru-hikers” and last year the Appalachian Trail Conservancy named Rutland a “trail town” and declared the festival  “an awesome day of festivities, education, activities and relaxation geared toward the whole family.”

This awesome festival is completely FREE, so come enjoy live music by Hey Mama,  The Starline Rhythm Boys, Bread and Bones, Waylon Speed and others.  The day will also include workshops, films and presentations on hiking, biking, wildlife and safety. Bringing kids? The festival is ready to keep them entertained all day long with arts & crafts, face painting, music, plays and lawn games.

Of course, Outdoor Research will be there along with dozens of other vendors to show off their gear and support for this outdoor celebration.
