The 4th annual Smuggs Ice Bash, January 29th – 31st, is the local’s ice climbing festival at the foot of Smuggler’s Notch, Jeffersonville, VT. The big news this year? Alpinist magazine has made Jeffersonville its new home, living in sin with Backcountry magazine. Come and mingle with the Alpinist crowd and the Backcountry crossovers.

Come out for gear demos, tool sessions and clinics, gear raffles, après-climbing festivities, and the Banff Film Festival. Be sure to catch local climber, Matt McCormick’s presentation of “NORTHERN REVIVAL”, a multi-media look at the next generation of Vermont and New England climbers pushing the limits year round on ice, rock, and mixed terrain. Sterling Rope will have a recycling drop-off so bring your beat dynamic rope, and they’ll ship it off for recycling.
